Philips Lumea uses an innovative light based technology, called IPL, to break the cycle of hair regrowth. Gentle pulses of light are applied at the root, putting the follicle into a resting phase. As a consequence, the amount of hair your body grows gradually decreases.

Suitable hair and skin types
Philips Lumea works effectively on a wide variety of hair and skin types. Works on (naturally) dark blonde, brown and black hairs and on skin tones ranging from very white (I) to dark brown (V). As with other light based treatments, Philips Lumea is NOT meant to treat red, light-blonde or white/grey hair. This product is also NOT suitable for very dark skin (skin type VI).
Treatment schedule
For best results, we recommend an 8-week schedule, followed by touch ups. 1. Initial phase: apply Philips Lumea every 2 weeks for the initial 4 – 5 treatments; 2. Touch-up phase: afterwards, repeat the treatment every 4 – 8 weeks.
Application body areas
Philips Lumea has been developed with dermatologists for a safe, effective and gentle application on arms, underarms, shoulders, stomach, pubic area (excluding the genital area and scrotum), sentitive areas, legs, chest and back.
Body attachment
For body area — 4.1cm2 window size. The body attachment is curved in for optimal skin contact when treating large areas like legs
Corded and cordless use
This Philips Lumea is the only IPL device that can be used with or without cord for complete convenience. Use cordless for full freedom of movement and plug in when needed for treatment with no interruptions.
Slide and flash mode
The slide and flash modes enables fast treatment on different body areas.
